The scaffolding for our decking is installed. When first dreaming of Coachwood House we knew we wanted an oversized back deck, & love to see it coming to life. The deck will extend directly from the living/dining/kitchen - the open, welcoming space we’d also always dreamed of.
Catching a quiet morning sunrise, toasting an afternoon “salut” and star filled evenings over wine & cheese - this will truly be where the magic happens.

Wow.. In just 4 quick months we’ve had so much progress. All external work is nearing completion & we’ll be moving inside in the coming weeks. Unfortunately Matcham Valley is expecting a months worth of rain this week alone, however FORTUNATELY the boys have finished the roofing & cladding work! Leaving us with a dry site that can be worked no matter the weather - we are beyond grateful.

Our windows are in and this view will never be old. Standing in the formal entry & looking directly through to the Australian gums beyond the deck. We are SO lucky to have these gorgeous native bush surrounds while still being 10 minutes from the beach.

Spaces coming to life

A major milestone has been met today with the framing being totally completed. The bones of Coachwood House.
Walking through each space is the most fun - imagining future kitchen conversations over famous family recipes, sundowners on the oversized back deck & bedtime stories for the littles before the adults games nights begin.
Work is still heavily dictated by the weather so we’re now looking forward to our next milestone of a weather-proof lock up.

Our concrete slab!

Wow! Our foundation is poured and we have our very own concrete slab - things are beginning to take shape and get serious! The floor plan is now life-size and we are loving walking through each of the spaces… Or for some (our 2 month old) being carried. How special to be able to share this time with her, and reflect on one day together.

We’re very happy to announce that the demolition of our previously exisiting property has now been completed - and Coachwood House construction will soon be underway!
Our dreams are coming true for our little family and we’re so excited to be sharing the journey.
